DISCOVER THE HIDDEN GEMS OF MACARENA

Day1 – Departure from Bogota

Our adventure begins in Bogotá in the morning. We head to the Llanos Orientales to the village of Granada. After arrival, there is time to enjoy the sun and the pool at our hotel. After that we rest, since our trip starts very early.

Day2 – Entering the jungle

Early in the morning we start our tour preparation. At 4am we leave Granada towards the village of Vistahermosa. There, we have breakfast before continuing on our journey, slowly we get deeper and deeper into the jungle. We stop in the village of Yarumales for lunch. Another trip of approx. 3 hours brings us to our night camp. We have dinner and then there is time to have fun together around a campfire.

Day3 – Caño Cristales

Days in the jungle start early. After getting up you can enjoy the sunrise of the Llanos. Then we prepare our cars and enjoy the breakfast. At about 8am we head towards our destination of the day – Caño Cristales! After lunch we are ready to explore the river of five colors, called the world’s most beautiful river. Enjoy this stunning river with its waterfalls, natural pools and don’t forget, its aquatic plants that dye its waters a variety of colours. Before sunset we return to our base camp where we will enjoy a meal, chill beside the campfire and discuss the day’s adventures.

Day4 – Caño 7 Machos

We start the day early. Together we prepare our cars for the day’s adventures. After breakfast we head to our destination ‘Caño 7 Machos’. Another spectacular destination to explore, located deep inside the jungle. This is another unexplored place, where rivers are also characterized by their crystalline waters and aquatic plants of reddish colors. Before sunset we return to our base camp where we will enjoy a meal and have time around the campfire to discuss the day.

Day5 – Caño Canoas

Like every day we get up early in the morning. Together we prepare our cars for the day’s adventures. After breakfast we head to ‘Caño Canoas’. This is a unique destination, since very few tourists come here. Breathtaking waterfalls await you in the dense jungle. Before sunset we return to our base camp where we will enjoy a meal and discuss the day’s adventures.

Day6 – Back to civilization

After a lot of eye-opening moments experienced in the past days, we leave the jungle towards Granada. After breakfast, we go in our 4×4 vehicles towards our destination. Going through the jungle on these muddy trails is an adventure on its own, surrounded by unspoilt and wonderful nature. We have lunch on the way and finally arrive in Granada at about 2pm. We have time to relax and have fun at the pool before returning to Bogota. We arrive in Bogotá at night.
