ENJOY AN OASIS OF NATURE AND BREATHE CLEAN AIR JUST A FEW MILES OUT OF TOWN!
The ‘Parque Chicaque’ is a lush cloud forest located 20 km south of Bogotá. Here you find startling nature with 244 hectares and over 10 km of nature trails. One of the areas of greatest attraction is the natural viewpoint located on 2.290m, called ‘Pico de Águila’. There are also fountains of pure and crystalline waters, a 72m high waterfall and native vegetation in danger of extinction. Its fauna is diverse with over 214 species of birds, some of them having their habitat in the area; more than 20 species of mammals and a big variety of insects, amphibians and reptiles. This is a space suitable for activities such as horseback riding, camping and nature walks. Also you can appreciate the pre-Columbian rock art.
