DIVE INTO A GREAT RIVER OF AMAZING AND ENRICHING CULTURE!

Silvia is a municipality located in the southwest of Colombia, near the city of Popayán. Its lands are watered by numerous rivers and estuaries, which by, travelling down from the mountain range, furrow the territory in various directions. This ethnic and cultural village is composed of six indigenous reserves (Ambaló, Guambía, Kisgo, Pitayó, Quichaya and Tumburao), the rural area and the center.
Tuesdays are special, because the Guambiano Indians come to Silvia to commercialize in the traditional market their products, such as fruits, vegetables and handicrafts. They are protective of their culture, continue their customs, speak their own language and their textiles are admired for their great elaboration. It is culturally enriching making contact with the indigenous and observing the colors of this interesting place.
